Eco-friendly kibble is the name we give to our insect protein kibble. We use the word “eco-friendly” to refer to a product that does not contain proteins from meat by-products, which helps reduce the kibble's environmental impact.

Does Tomojo kibble have the same nutritional properties as traditional kibble?

Since insects are a different species than conventional meat sources, they do not have the same nutritional values ​​as when comparing chicken to beef. However, insects, like other meat sources, are made up of elements that are uniquely or particularly present in meats and that are not found in sufficient quantities in plants. In addition, the Tomojo recipe was formulated with an animal nutritionist to fully meet all the recommended nutritional needs for your dogs.

Are there any preservatives in Tomojo kibble?

There are no preservatives in Tomojo kibble. However, as with all kibble, there are nutritional additives such as vitamins and minerals essential for the good health of the dog.

Is it suitable for puppies? And for older dogs?

Puppies and older dogs often have more specific nutritional needs. Tomojo is suitable for adult dogs in normal condition.

How much should I give my dog?

A dog's energy needs depend on its size and weight, but also on its age, energy expenditure (whether a dog is very or little active), and its condition (growth, pregnancy, lactation, etc.). The information on the kibble packet is for a dog in basic condition: good health and normally active.

Is Tomojo kibble certified organic?

Since the insect industry is relatively new, organic certification has not yet been established. However, we are making an effort to use organic and/or local by-products.

Is Tomojo kibble a complete dog food? Or do I need to supplement it with vitamins? Or meat?

The fact that organic kibble doesn't contain meat in its formulation has no impact on its nutritional quality. In fact, insect proteins are more digestible and of higher quality than those derived from traditional meat by-products found in most kibble.

My pet needs a hypoallergenic diet. Is Tomojo kibble suitable?

Our kibble is made with insect flour, which is better suited for dogs prone to developing allergies because it doesn't contain the most common allergens. However, there's no such thing as zero risk.

What does it mean when a kibble is “grain-free”?

“Grain-free” simply means that the carbohydrates are delivered by ingredients like potatoes, peas, and sweet potatoes instead of grains like wheat and rice, which often have a lower nutrient density.

Should I consult my veterinarian before switching to Tomojo kibble?

The Tomojo recipe was formulated with an animal nutritionist to ensure it's balanced and complete. So, there's no need to consult your veterinarian if your dog is healthy and behaving normally. However, if your dog has specific health concerns or has had problems with other kibbles before, talk to your veterinarian first.

Why do you use insects as a source of protein in your kibble?

Insects are one of the best alternative proteins to traditional meat. This is primarily due to their excellent nutritional quality, but it's not the only reason. Their farming uses far fewer of our precious natural resources, such as water and natural spaces, and produces far fewer greenhouse gas emissions.

What type of insect is found in Tomojo kibble?

The insect flour used is made from flies of the Hermetia Illucens species raised ecologically and on organic waste, for even less environmental impact.

Do you use whole insects?

No. Our raw material is insect flour. To achieve this, the insects undergo several processing steps, including drying, lipid separation (by pressing or solvent extraction), flour processing, and packaging.

Where and how are they raised?

The insects are raised on specialized farms and fed a unique blend of grain scraps, fruits and vegetables from local sources.

Can insects feel pain?

During the production process, the well-being of the larvae is guaranteed. They are kept at the right temperature, in the right conditions, and they get exactly what they need.

Our kibble is available directly online on our secure platform. It's also available in select specialty stores across France. Ask your local retailer.

When are deliveries made?

We deliver within a maximum of 10 days via La Poste. You will receive an email containing the tracking number for your Tomojo order so you can track your delivery.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to mainland France and certain European countries: Benelux, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Sweden, Denmark.

What if I'm not at home?

Deliveries are handled by La Poste and its partners. Your parcel tracking number will be provided to you so that we can better organize your delivery.
